Our Artists in Action Monthly series teaches artists and creatives how to tackle the business side of making a living doing what you love. This session will walk you through the why (your goals and deepest values), what (how much you need to earn to thrive), and how (options for how to structure your career) of financial management for artists. Attendees will learn:

  • The importance of getting paid for your work 
  • Clarifying your goals
  • How to calculate what you need to earn to thrive
  • Valuing your time and declaring your worth
  • How to leverage the power of personal relationships and barter resources with peers

There will be time for discussion, and participants will receive a handout with tools and resources.

Allison Wyper is an interdisciplinary artist who founded Rhizomatic Arts to help creative people work independently, not alone. She specializes in one-on-one coaching, collaborative web design, authentic marketing and communications, and creative exchange.
