CommSafe AI Secures Funding and Network with Help from SBDC
BACKGROUND
CommSafe AI is a platform that identifies toxic workplace communication, preventing physical and psychological harm, reputation damage, and lawsuits. Ty Smith is the CEO and a protector of people, with a mission to serve human beings.
CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Ty was looking for business and funding strategies as well as introductions to venture capital investors.
SBDC SUPPORT
Ty worked with the SBDC through Connect Cool Companies program and received support from innovative start-up advisors. Ty was introduced to talent, investors, and prospective customers, and received advice and market intelligence from Connect CEO Mike Krenn.
RESULTS AND FUTURE PLANS
Ty’s network has grown through SBDC’s “friends and family” approach, providing access and social capital for underrepresented founders to succeed. Ty has met one of his first investors through events and introductions and is continuing to build and scale CommSafe AI.
